The video features a single shot, a man guarding a fire in a backyard. The sparks are flying high; dramatic and solemn music can be heard on the soundtrack. Almost every day at the same time, we witnessed this scenery outside our Glasgow window while the radio was playing BBC classic. Although this man was just burning oil-soaked cardboard leftovers from his garage, to us, the permanent repetition made it seem like a metaphoric, metaphysical performance.
